Drug Case: Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan has little hope of getting bail today,
may seek NCB custody
Arbaaz Merchant and Mummun Dhamecha’s bail will also be heard today along with Aryan
Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, who was arrested in the drugs case, is still very unlikely to get relief. Arbaaz Merchant and Mummun Dhamecha’s bail will also be heard today along with Aryan. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has got all the information against Aryan Khan.
The lawyers of Arbaaz Merchant, Aryan’s friend, have filed a bail application for him and also demanded CCTV footage of the raid. Sources told News18 that the agency has detained a foreign national and a commercial quantity of drugs was recovered from him last night.
Also, the phones of Aryan Khan and others were sent for forensic examination. Based on last night’s recovery, it is likely that NCB may seek further custody of three persons including Aryan Khan today.
NCB sources told News18 that the first evidence is that Aryan Khan has admitted and given a statement that he had taken drugs. However, an official clarified that Aryan’s urine test or any other test has not been done to know whether the superstar’s son had taken drugs that day.
The Esplanade Court in Mumbai sent Shah Rukh Khan’s sons Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Seth Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha to NCB custody till October 7. Two days ago, the agency claimed to have busted a drugs party on the ship.
Apart from Aryan Khan, the arrested accused have been identified as Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhokar, and Gomit Chopra. Aryan Khan, Dhamecha, and Merchant were produced in a metropolitan magistrate’s court on Sunday.
The trio was produced before the court after the one-day custody granted to the NCB ended on Sunday. These people were arrested after the NCB raided a cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa. However, no medicine has been recovered from Aryan.
